KEY RESPONSIBILITIESServe as a key resource for Sales Finance and Field Sales on accounting and finance related questions. This will involve the ability to assess business needs, resolving risks/opportunities in a timely manner and clear communication of issues/business results.Prepare ad-hoc reports to assist account team in evaluating key opportunities for the company.Jointly with Sales, establish working knowledge about the customers financial goals and working relationship with the customer to achieve positive business results.Analyze net sales and gross margin variances through reporting, ad hoc analysis, and trade reviews. Summarize variances and discuss action plans with Director of Sales and Finance teams.Lead preparation / evaluation of monthly forecast accuracy for volume and trade. Assist in translating field forecast to P&L forecast for both team and customer.Manage accrual based funding process / reporting with monthly reviews to identify gaps and action plans with Sales Team and Trade Finance Team.Work with Sales team to insure compliance across all brands/categories that Trade Finance has developed.Responsible for internal and fiscal year end trade compliance audit details.Own the management and analysis of customer profitability information.Preparation of annual customer trade and sales plans.Work with Sales team to maintain and deliver positive ROI results on merchandising programs.Assist in developing management reports through functional knowledge of Seibel system.Provide formal and informal training on financial concepts and systems to team members.SELECTION CRITERIAEducationBachelor’s degree required ExperienceA minimum of 3 years of experience in trade marketing, category management, sales, RGM, or finance is requiredExperience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry is a mustOtherAdvanced Excel skills are required (use of pivot tables and v-lookups)Working knowledge of category management practices, marketing strategies and insights is a plusExperience working with syndicated sales data (ie Nielsen/IRI) and/or a trade funds management system (ie Siebel) is strongly preferredAdvanced skills in analytical managementExceptional skills in communication, negotiation and motivationExperience in marketing, financial managementUnderstanding of P&Ls
