Provide Leadership to Analyst team that implements the Collaborative Category Optimization (CCO) Process in designated categories. Direct the use of analysis Tools for the management of Data, including: the gathering, summarizing, and analyzing of Data necessary for CCO. Support Cost Management objectives and Coordination with Mechandising and vendor teams. Communicate analysis of Data to Category Managers and Support the communication of Data to supplier Representiatives. Essential Job Functions:
:Determine and achieve Category gross margin Improvements in assigned categories.
:Lead CCO analysis team in the design of the analysis Process that helps to optimize our Mechandising categories.
:Work collaboratively with VP in preparing Financial Budgets utilizing historical Category and trend Data, and Project Knowledge.
:Establish and Maintain Relationships with Corporate and Division Mechandising Leadership, Category Managers and the Consumer Product Group (CPG) Community
:Manage CCO Analyst resource Allocation and Process cadence to ensure Project goals are delivered on schedule
:Develop, execute and Maintain Project Plan for each wave of Category reviews
:Lead the Development and Execution of a gate review Process to ensure Quality assurance of CCO analytical Process
:Oversee crEation and Implementation of New Technology Systems designed to warehouse Data used for negotiations and go to market decisions.
:Ensure cross Category Coordination during the CCO Process
:Prepare Category Improvement Projections and conduct post:Implementation variance analysis
:Ensure recommendations align with the Business Strategy
:Supervise and coach direct reports in the Performance of their duties; complete Performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports
:Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationMinimum Position Qualifications:
:3 years management experience in Division/Corporate Mechandising, Procurement, Category Management, or Financial Data analysis
:Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
:Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
:Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize analyses into compelling written Communications
:Excellent attention to detail
:Prior experience managing large Projects
:Prior experience managing a team
:Ability to be collaborative and work with and through committees
:Highly organized and proficient at multi:tasking
:Strong Knowledge of Financial statements and Programs available to retrieve information (e.g. KCMSDW, Business Objects)
:Ability to travel independentlyDesired Previous Job Experience:
:Process management experience (i.e. Kroger Excellence, Six Sigma)
:4+ years years management experience in Division/Corporate Mechandising, Procurement, Category Management, or Financial Data analysis
:7+ years Sales promotion, assortment and segmentation, Procurement experience and/or Financial Data analysis
