Will work for a global manufacturer (can be based out of corporate headquarters in Cincinnati or at a satellite office in Fort Worth or Charlotte) in a highly visible position touching many functions within the accounting/finance department and providing a great opportunity to help shape and drive the finance organization to the next level.Role will provide strategic and business leadership in establishing accounting policy and procedures, standardizing transactional processing, and leading efforts to transform the North American financial shared services organization (FSSO). The goals of the transformation will be to create & operate a structured, sustainable, & efficient North American shared services organization. Job will closely partner with the Finance and IT leadership teams and provides a service to the North American finance teams; process in the FSSO include: Order to Cash (Invoicing/Billing, Credit Management, Collections, Payment Application, Accounts Receivable Reporting) Procure to Pay (Accounts Payable Vouchering,Disbursements, Travel and Expense Reporting, Accounts Payable Reporting) General Accounting (Monthly Reconciliations, Non-Income Tax Compliance, Certain other general ledger and general accounting activity)Other initiatives include: Continue to develop a sustainable North American FSSO structure and processes that are clearly aligned with business strategy Partner with other finance process leaders and their respective terms to design , transition as well as maintain the already harmonized processes in the North American FSSO Act as a point of escalation for North American finance process owners and ensure timely remediation of issues Review existing processes, structures, and systems with a focus of simplifying and standardizing them. Maintain a strong focus on execution and deliver short term results and successes while moving toward the long-term vision Benchmark the FSSOagainst other companies to identify and implement process improvements Align the FSSO structure and processes, as well as employee skills and responsibilities, to stakeholder needsRequirements: Bachelor's degree in business, financial or related field or equivalent work experience (finance/accounting degree, CPA and/or MBA preferred) Experience in starting and or managing a Finance Shared Service Center Experience in either management consulting/advisory firms-with a focus on finance Strong financial, IT and analytical skills coupled with operational focus Ability to travel 50% for the first 6-9 months to meet with staff and direct/set initiatives and timing
