CAM is a boutique fixed income manager that specializes in US Corporate credit. Our business primarily consists of 4 separately managed accounts available on several broker/dealer platforms along with a mutual fund offering which replicates one of the SMA strategies available at UBS and in the RIA channel. This is a unique opportunity to help our firm build an internal sales and marketing capability to assist our external personnel service existing relationships and develop new ones.
:The ideal candidate will have investment industry and/or marketing experience along with knowledge of website content management, experience with CRM database management, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
:The candidate must have or have the desire to learn a fundamental understanding of the US Corporate Credit markets and how it fits in the context of an overall asset allocation strategy.
:This job requires building relationships with financial advisors (FAs), financial consultants (FCs) and RIAs and be able to articulate the value added by CAM to their respective practices.
:The candidate must be able to discuss the relationship of interest rates, interest rate policy, credit spreads and fundamental credit research in the US Corporate Investment Grade and High Yield markets to FAs, FCs and RIAs.
:The position may also grow into an outside sales role based on the growth of the employee along with the needs of CAM
:Cultivate relationships with financial representatives via phone contact by initiating outbound marketing phone calls to broker dealer and RIA community to build awareness and market CAM products; convey sales ideas; provide product information; and gather marketing data and enter into CRM system.
:Work with External Partners to develop marketing strategies for obtaining leads and meetings with current and prospective FAs, FCs and RIAs.
:Service existing FAs, FCs and RIAs by being the primary contact at CAM for inbound calls concerning marketing and sales issues.
:Manage and assist updating the firms websites to ensure content is relevant and fresh to help drive traffic and capture data for lead generation.
Experience/Skills Required
:Bachelors degree is required.
:2:3 years experience in financial services or marketing related field.
:Team oriented, self:starter with the ability to manage time and workflow.
:Strong verbal and written communications skills with attention to detail.
Experience Preferred
:Prior experience in the asset management business with proficiency in Zephyr, Morningstar and Mail Chimp.
:Prior sales experience.
