Job Duties: Familiarity with all St. Elizabeth payroll related policies and employee benefit plans. Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding all payroll related data. Completes audits and balancing of payroll data (employee records and status changes, time and attendance records, deduction and earnings totals) to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies. Ability to calculate wage payments, including overtime calculations, retro-active pays, pre-tax deductions, involuntary withholdings, and all applicable taxes using standardized tax calculation methods. Calculate and process leave accrual balance adjustments. Performs all payroll system functions required to load time and attendance records, calculate and confirm paychecks in an accurate and timely manner. Prepares and submits direct deposit information to NACHA. Processes interface files for payroll sub-systems and vendors. Coordinate manual check processing as needed. Work with Human Resource advisors to process status changes related to pay in a timely and accurate manner. Work with Information Systems to resolve system performance issues. Assist with payroll help desk support, offering guidance to managers and associates with time and attendance and check calculation questions. Distribution of payroll related data and reports. Produce standard and ad hoc reports as needed for management and external auditors. Document and update payroll related procedures. Assist with annual W2 preparation to ensure accurate and timely distribution of wage data. Assist Payroll Manager with special projects related to payroll and complete other duties as assigned.Summary:The Lead Payroll Administrator position is responsible for the automated processing of payroll for St. Elizabeth Healthcare and its affiliates (8,400+ associates.) This individual will complete all aspects of paycheck production in an accurate and timely manner while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality. Biweekly, monthly and quarterly pay frequencies exist for both companies: St. Elizabeth Healthcare and St. Elizabeth Physicians. The individual will maintain functional knowledge among each company's processes which allows a rotating payroll processing schedule. Primary job duties include payroll and garnishment processing including Kronos timecard audits. The department structure is as follows: Director of AP/Payroll, Payroll Manager, Payroll Systems/Tax Analyst, and Lead Payroll Administrator (2).Minimum requirements: High School Diploma Knowledge of web based, in-house payroll Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Kronos systems, Microsoft Excel 5 years of in-house payroll processing The culture at St. Elizabeth Healthcare is warm and caring, people-centered and dedicated to service.
