PROGRAM COORDINATOR
(Non:Exempt, Professional Hourly)
Fraternity and Sorority Life
Division of Student Affairs
UNIVERSITY of CINCINNATI
The Division of Student Affairs is seeking a Program Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life to provide the following:
:
Advise 11 social sororities within the Panhellenic Council (or College Panhellenic; CPH) and 1 multicultural sorority; Greek Week; 1 honor society; approximately 1,250 students and growing.
:
Advise the elected and appointed executive board officers of the Panhellenic Council to govern and program for their affiliated member organizations.
:
Attend all council and community meetings, including (but not limited to): council meetings, executive meetings, inter:Greek programs and events, recruitment teams, judicial boards, other retreats and conferences.
:
Promote applicable university rules, Student Code of Conduct, and smart risk management policies.
:
Ensure appropriate judicial oversight and member conduct standards for councils, fraternities/sororities and their individual members, if need be in coordination with the Office of University Judicial Affairs.
:
Appropriately handle any risk or crisis management incidents involving fraternities/sororities and their members.
:
Responsible to maintain calendar, communications, promotions, and marketing materials, including digital and print publications, greeklifeuc.edu website and social media.
:
Advise and assist signature activities, including recruitment, Greek Week, Future Greek Leaders, Executive Leadership Conference, New and Rising Leaders Conference, National Hazing Prevention Week, National Ritual Celebration Week, Welcome Weekend and more.
:
Liaison to inter/nationally affiliated fraternity/sorority HQs and professional staff, including meeting and communication with traveling, leadership, and chapter development consultants.
:
Liaison to the Greek Affairs Alumni Council (GAAC), volunteer chapter advisors, advisory boards, house corporations, and other alumni that may have an interest in the success of our community.
:
Develop short: and long:term goals, along with measurable objectives, for the community (practical and visionary) in concert with undergraduate students, Greek Affairs Alumni Council and fraternity/sorority advisors, and other university Student Life staff.
:
Conduct periodic research on the needs of fraternities/sororities and individual members; act on the findings of such research.
:
Provide appropriate programs, as needed, in the realm of workshops, training, seminars, and retreats on topics ranging from leadership and fraternal values to wellness, body image, alcohol awareness, etc.
:
Participate in other university, Student Affairs, and Student Activities and Leadership Development (SALD) activities, and represent SALD on various university committees.
:
Assist in the management of a budget and prepare routine expense reports.
:
Assist in the collection, analysis, and reporting of chapter information including, but not limited to, chapter officer contact information, semester grade reports, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree with one (1) year of experience; :OR: Associate degree with three (3) years of experience; :OR: five (5) years of experience. Experience must be in program coordination.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
:
Master's Degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel or related field
:
Graduate or professional experience in student organization advising, program/event planning, leadership development, alcohol education, and or/or Fraternity and Sorority life.
:
Willingness to work in a team and collaborative environment
:
Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite special focus on Microsoft Excel and online assessment tools for surveys and data collection.
