The Accounting Manager manages the capital expenditure cycle for Luxottica North America through analyzing and reporting using key project performance metrics and effectively communicating the results.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:Evaluates the current capital process and provides solutions /recommended changes.
:Manages the capital expenditure cycle as outlined in the capital policy including AFE setup and maintenance in SAP.
:Works closely with project managers to track capital project statuses and completion dates.
:Creates, prepares and effectively communicates monthly capital projects reporting to FASS team, management and business partners (i.e. ROI, financial risks/opportunities, project status).
:Reviews all potential capital leases and completes a buy vs. lease analysis.
:Performs monthly capital accruals and reviews asset under construction balances to ensure appropriate capital has been placed in:service.
:Provides support as appropriate to key stakeholders, finance/accounting and external customers including auditors.
:Performs ad hoc analysis and assists with special projects as requested.
:Maintains a working knowledge of the accounting principles and GAAP.
:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
:6+ years of experience
:Ability to adapt to shifting and competing priorities
:Strong interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written), organizational and multi:tasking skills
:Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint as well as other system applications
:Ability to create and manage databases and Excel based financial models
:Ability to interpret financial results, understand implications and effectively communicate to business users
:Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
:Self:starter, taking the initiative to solve problems
:Demonstrated ability to constructively challenge the process and takes the initiative to search for opportunities to grow, improve and innovate
:Ability to communicate data driven insights to business partners across various levels within the organization
:Effectively manages time and effort to achieve necessary tasks
:MBA or CPA
:Hyperion systems (i.e. Essbase, Hyperion Planning) experience
:Retail industry experience
