Job Description Our office is currently accepting applications to fill the role of Full-Time Administrative Assistant within our union hall. This candidate must be motivated, able to prioritize work assignments as they come in and work without supervision. The administrative assistant will be responsible for assisting with union dues payments, balancing/maintaining financial records and facilitating communication among internal departments. We offer excellent healthcare, pension, vacation/sick time and desirable wages. Other Responsibilities and Qualifications Respond to queries in person, via telephone or email Take union initiation payments and union dues- record appropriately Maintain company record systems to uphold accurate union files Compose letters, contracts, memos and emails Screen documents, book meeting rooms, set up conference calls and take messages Perform administrative tasks, including filing, data entry and photocopying Excellent organizational skills Ability to delegate and multi-task, while working in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently Friendly and professional demeanor Self-motivated and able to motivate others Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (heavy) Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Previous administrative and clerical experience required Company Description The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades represents a growing force of men and women in the United States and Canada who work in the Finishing Trades – Industrial & Commercial Painting, Drywall Finishing, Glazing & Glass Work, Sign & Display and Floor Covering Installation, and many more successful careers in the construction industry and public sector.
