Basic Function 13;
Under general supervision, assists the Executive Housekeeper with various functions in the housekeeping and laundry areas of the hotel. Maintains exceptional +1 Service levels through guest and team member satisfaction. Ensures high levels of quality are maintained in all areas including but not limited to guest rooms, laundry, public areas, meeting space, department storage areas, and work areas. Maintains a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times with team members, customer and co:workers.
Job Duties 13;
:Has a +1 Service Attitude and provides courteous, friendly guest service by discovering and responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests, and complaints.
:Provides motivation and may assist with training for Housekeeping and Laundry personnel to ensure efficient, safe operations and to maintain an atmosphere of +1 Service for our guests and team.
:Operates the Housekeeping Department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. Ensures all reports and checklist are turn in to the Manager on Duty and communicates any follow:up needed for the evening.
:Positively promotes new procedures and policies in adherence to Drury policies and procedures; provides departmental feedback and suggestions to the Executive Housekeeper.
:Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics which inspire team members to exceed expectations.
:In the absence of the Executive Housekeeper, ensures that all team members are present for work and are provided the information and tools to do their job efficiently and effectively.
:Appreciates the diversity of our team members and guests and contributes to maintaining a positive work environment at all times.
:Conducts room inspections as requested to ensure adherence to quality of service standards.
:Reports out:of:order rooms to Maintenance and assists with follow:up to ensure that problems are corrected.
:Assist with maintaining the inventory of all guest room and housekeeping supplies to include assisting with monthly inventory of linen, terry, supplies, and equipment.
:Compiles and reports accurate status of guest rooms to Guest Service Agents in a timely manner to ensure guest rooms are available for check :in.
:Performs guest room housekeeping duties, laundry functions, and cleans public areas as needed and/or as assigned.
:Maintains security necessary for protection of guests, guests property and company assets; i.e., controls department and housekeepers keys as assigned.
:Complies with hotels safety/security rules and instructions in performing work efficiently while protecting self, co:workers and the hotel.
:Performs other duties as required or assigned. 13;
General Knowledge, Skill and Ability 13;
Requires a thorough knowledge of methods of cleaning guest rooms and operation of laundry services. Requires knowledge of the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals. Requires general knowledge of such equipment as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers. Requires ability to lead the Housekeeping team to successfully achieve quality, cleanliness, and Drury standards to exceed the company quality expectations 13;
Mental and Physical Requirements 13;
EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school.
EXPERIENCE: Requires minimum of 6 months experience in performing housekeeping duties; some supervisory experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Requires ability to walk and stand during entire work shift. Requires ability to push vacuum, reach and stretch in routine daily work activities.
Requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds intermittently during the work day. Requires the ability to perform all Housekeeper and House Person job duties.
