The College of Allied Health Sciences, Office of Student Affairs and Academic Advising is recruiting for a full:time (80 FTE, 32 hours per week) Program Coordinator. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities
Essential Function: Under general supervision from the Assistant Director of the Office of Student Affairs, plan, design, evaluate, modify and coordinate programs related to recruitment, admissions, and academic advising in the College of Allied Health Sciences.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Serve on the Communication Committee and Marketing and Recruitment Committee:
:Develop and implement marketing strategies in order to recruit students and program participants.
:Research and analyze literature, website and marketing materials.
Recruitment and First Year Experience:
:Conduct presentations for high school students and parents.
:Market College programs at information fairs.
:Planning and oversight for College Day
:Administrative assistance for FYE seminars
General administrative support and program data management:
:Order office supplies
:Schedule rooms, meetings and appointments.
:Respond to information requests (written, in:person, telephone, email) from students, faculty, staff and the public.
:Event planning and scheduling for information sessions, advising events, etc.
:Maintain the Advising section for CAHS website.
:Update CAHS list serve each semester.
:Evaluate students' applications for admissions into the undergraduate programs.
:Inform students of acceptance, denial or placed on hold. Process admissions forms.
:Generate CPP stacks for new students and readmits. Open/Close programs as needed.
:Run Transfer report weekly.
:Assign students to advisors and update in Catalyst.
:Manage advisors' caseloads for on campus and distance learning students.
Supervise student worker
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree with one (1) year experience; :OR: Associates degree with three (3) years' experience; :OR: five (5) years' experience. Experience must be in program development and coordination.
Preferred Qualifications: Work experience in an academic setting; excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel; proven experience setting and meeting deadlines; excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to successfully multitask and prioritize among competing tasks and deadlines. Ability to function independently.
