The Leader, IT PMO is responsible for the overall project management function, providing leadership, coordination and management of the PMO processes and functions. The role serves as a conduit for communication between project managers and the executives who make the strategic decisions for those projects. The position supervises the resources that provides project management support functions and administrative support to project managers. Key responsibilities include: supporting project managers, facilitating approval for project management deliverables, and managing project management processes and controls. Will also be called upon to manage projects and programs as necessary in support of key business initiatives.Key Result Areas (KRAs)The job encompasses the following major functions or key result areas: A: Organization wide Project Management capability A: Project and contract management A: People management A: Relationship management Deliver projects on time, within budget, scope, quality expectations and to key stakeholder satisfactionEnsure project management delivery is consistent with best practicesLead the implementation and management of portfolio, program and project governance frameworks and development of appropriate reporting toolsInfluence internal stakeholders to achieve the desired outcomes, including process improvementEstablish and maintain close working relationships with internal and external contacts including project managers, staff, suppliers, consultants, and contractorsProvide supportive leadership, motivating and directing staff and project teams as they workProvide mentoring support for Program managers and Project managersEffectively communicating current activities, status, and IT PMO policies and proceduresManaging external contractors, consultants, projects, project teams, and managing the quality and timeliness of deliverablesEducation A: BS/BA or MS/MA/MBA or other graduate degree in related discipline and at least 8:10 years of relevant experience, including a management role Qualifications Excellent analytical skills are requiredAdvance knowledge of MS Office applications and project management toolsExcellent communication and presentation (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills across all user levelsTravel as required in support of projects and their teams
