The University of Cincinnati (UC), College of Engineering and Applied Science invites applications for multiple faculty positions in several departments in the College. Rank, tenure, salary and startup funding will be negotiated commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Applicants to Requisition 11815 will be considered for a position in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics (AEEM).
The Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics offers fully ABET:accredited five:year B.S. degree in aerospace engineering with a mandatory coop program and M.S. and PhD degrees in both Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics. In addition, the Department has an Accelerated Engineering Degree (ACCEND) program where highly motivated students can get both B.S and M.S. or B.S. and M.B.A. degrees in five years and a quarter.
The successful candidates will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate engineering courses specific to their specialty area online and/or in a traditional classroom setting, participate in service related activities, develop an externally funded research program in the applicable engineering field of expertise, advise graduate and undergraduate students, and publish research results in professional journals. In addition, the successful candidate may participate in curriculum and course development. Duties alsoinclude teaching courses in Aerospace Engineering.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
