The Actuarial Product Development department is currently seeking a Research and Development Actuary. A: Lead research and development of new and innovative annuity products and riders.A: Procure pricing analysis data for new products.A: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing for viability of new and creative product designs and markets.A: Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues in Risk Management, Valuation, Planning, Finance, Sales and Marketing, IT and Legal.A: Be able to explain difficult concepts, including model analysis, in straightforward and understandable terms to actuarial and non:actuarial audiences.A: Develop educational tools to aid in executive managementA?s decision:making.A: Maintain extensive knowledge of insurance products, operations and existing regulations.A: Review pricing and modeling of new products under multiple reporting frameworks, including Stat and GAAP accounting.A: Collaborate with pricing team to enhance various analytics including sensitivities, rules of thumb and sources of earnings presentations.A: Lead the research and development of new pricing methodologies as needed.A: Provide guidance and assistance to pricing team members as needed.A: Lead work from other areas as needed (mentor, prioritize, delegate and review assignments).A: Perform other duties as assigned.A: FSA designation.A: 5+ years of overall actuarial experience.A: 3+ years of product development and/or product management experience.A: Significant working knowledge of fixed:indexed annuities is preferred.
