The Institute for Policy Research at the University of Cincinnati (UC) is seeking a Research Associate to join the UC IPR research team. The Research Associate will apply professional knowledge, skills, and training to help support, conduct, and disseminate social and behavioral research.

Position Description:
:The position will provide support to a team of researchers assisting local organizations with data informed decision:making, with specific focus on policy issues related to education, income and health toward the goal of advancing the common good. Responsibilities include creation of content and dissemination of research findings via a variety of social media outlets. The person in this position will generate, edit, publish and share engaging policy:related content on a regular basis.

:Responsibilities also include collecting, analyzing, monitoring and interpreting demographic, social, economic and health data and indicators from U.S. Census, administrative records, surveys and other data sources. The Research Associate will engage with the UC IPR team and research partners from a variety of academic disciplines, non:profit organizations and government entities.

Minimum Qualifications:
:Masters degree in analytics, communication, data sciences, demography, economics, geography health sciences, planning, political science, psychology, public policy, sociology or a related field at time of appointment.
:Two years of experience involving collection and analysis of demographic, social, economic and health data and indicators from U.S. Census, administrative records, surveys and other data sources.
:Commitment to advancing the common good through data informed decision:making on issues related to education, income and health.
:Demonstrated experience in social media content management for non:profit or for:profit organizations.
:Experience creating/using data management/data checking protocols.
:Demonstrated experience with office productivity software (especially MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint).
:Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
:Ability to communicate with persons possessing a wide range of data expertise.
:Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
:Ability to work independently and be flexible to changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
:Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
:Demonstrated experience with World Wide Web content management systems.
