Position Summary This highly visible position requires exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organization skills to provide superior customer service to our patients.Monday:Thursday 7:45 am : 5:30 pm Position ResponsibilitiesCollectionsCollect and record payments from patientsExplain financial obligations and payment optionsVerify and process daily bank depositsAccurately submit write off and refund requestsOffice OperationsGreet and assist patients in person and via the telephoneUpdate patient charts and patient accountsSchedule patient appointments maximizing providerA?s scheduleAsk for patient referralsProcess new patient paperworkCreate new patient accountsPrint route slips and schedules for the next dayReview patient insurance eligibility from managed care listEstablish and maintain patient call listUtilize various scripting for patient communicationCreate and send failed appointment lettersPull and file chartsFile EOBA?sEnsure all provider charges are posted correctlyConfirm patient appointmentsPrepare and process referralsProcess insurance submissions and pre:authorizationsManage delinquent patient accounts and follow up patient complaintsOrder office suppliesAdhere to HIPAA privacy policyMaintain a neat and professional environmentOther DutiesWill be expected to perform any and all related duties as assigned by manager Education and/or Work Experience Requirements High School Diploma and front desk experience in a medical or dental office. Required Knowledge and SkillsComputer proficiency in Microsoft applicationsGeneral office equipment knowledgeAttention to detail and ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracyStrong interpersonal skillsExceptional customer service skillsAbility to communicate effectively with internal and external customersAnalytical skillsDependable and reliable License and Certification RequirementsCPR Certification Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsWork is performed in a standard office environment
