UC Clermont invites applications for Tenure:Track faculty position in Human Social Services beginning August 15, 2018 unless otherwise indicated. UC Clermont is an open admissions regional campus thirty miles east of the University of Cincinnati in Batavia Ohio with an enrollment of approximately 3,500 students. The college offers a variety of certificates, transfer programs, two:year technical degrees, and a baccalaureate degree.
Tenure:track faculty responsibilities include the following:
:Teaching 12 credit:hours for two primary semesters, including day and evening classes as needed,
:Scheduling a minimum of four office hours per week,
:Participating in ongoing scholarship/research, and
:Participating in service to the department, college, university, and community.
All candidates must demonstrate/provide evidence of effective teaching and professional development and must have appropriate degrees and/or certifications awarded by the time of appointment.
Position Description: Teach a combination of a variety of human social services and addiction courses that will total 12 credit hours per semester (Fall and Spring). Selected candidate will assume program coordination of the Human Social Services and Substance Abuse Counseling programs and will provide advising to program students.
Minimum Qualifications: Terminal degree with a degree in any of the following areas: Counseling, Human Services or Social Work and field experience. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate education and have at least one year (24 semester hours) college:level teaching experience (or the equivalent in part:time).
Preferred Qualifications: Candidate will have an Ohio LICDC certification or be eligible from the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board; have administrative experience in academia; 5 years field experience; knowledge of Human Social Services and Addictions counseling; online teaching experience; and experience with open access student population.
