Drama and Performance
A and S Department English and Comparative Literature

The Department of English and Comparative Literature is seeking a candidate prepared to teach undergraduates in both English and Theatre and graduate students working on both scholarly and creative projects. The position provides a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary work across the College of Arts and Sciences and the College:Conservatory of Music, particularly on programming funded by the Helen Weinberger Center for the Study of Drama and Playwriting.
We are interested in all areas of modern and contemporary drama/performance scholarship, with a preference for those working in one or more of the following areas: African American, Asian American, and/or Latinx drama and performance; queer theory; and digital humanities. Experience with playwriting, performance and/or production would also be a plus. Demonstrated excellence in research and teaching required. The normal teaching load is 2 courses per semester.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PhD must be completed before the August 15, 2018 starting date.
