UC Clermont College is located in the center of Clermont County on 91 beautiful wooded acres in Batavia Township 30 miles east of the Clifton Campus. Opened in 1972, Clermont College is an accredited, open-access college offering more than 50 associate degrees and certificate programs and a baccalaureate degree.

UC Clermont College is looking for a full-time Educational Advisor. This position will report to the Director, Talent Search & Upward Bound grants and will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all other activities.

Essential Function

Under general supervision from the Program Director, provide advising services, to include; career exploration, admissions & financial aid advising, assistance in preparing for college entrance exams and college visit coordination to assist participants in being promoted to the next grade level, high school graduation and post-secondary enrollment and completion.

Major Responsibilities

Identify, recruit and select participants.

Develop curriculum and provide monthly workshops for TS students.

Provide educational, career and college advising.

Conduct needs assessments, develop student educational plans and monitor student progress.

Plan and coordinate college visits and cultural field trips.

Develop and update participant files and submit reports showing progress toward completion of program objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in education or arts and sciences or another related field.

One or more years of experience working with disadvantaged children in an educational setting or educational advising experience.
