The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) is seeking a Graduate Assistant to assist in the day to day operations of CCE's various programming including maintaining and developing partnerships with non:profit community partner organizations, serving the needs of students and managing direct and indirect community service activities.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
:Assist in the coordination of a variety of large scale one:day community service events, including attendance on the day of events (infrequently on Saturdays), assisting with student volunteers and tracing attendance.
:Manage the community service opportunity clearinghouse services of the CCE including: synthesizing communications from various community partners, updating and troubleshooting the volunteer, platform, and coordinating the release of the Weekly Service Update weekly newsletter.
:Support the day to day operation of Bearcat Buddies tutoring program, including tracking attendance, keeping up:to:date with emails and occasionally driving the 15 passenger van that transports the students to and from UC and the schools.
:Assist the staff in all phases of recruitment of UC students to volunteer in the community, including occasionally speaking to classes, First Year Learning Communities and others.
:Assist with the updating and maintaining of CCE's website.
:Other duties as assigned
Pay: 14.00 an hour
