The College of Medicine, Department of Molecular Genetics is looking for a Post Doctoral Fellow in the Monaco Lab. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.
The overall mission of the Monaco lab is to understand the molecular mechanisms involved in antigen recognition by T cells of the immune system, with emphasis on the role of interchangeable proteasome subunits on Tcell responses, T cell selection and self:tolerance, and autoimmune disorders.

The purpose of this research is specifically to characterize the role of the thymus:specific form of proteasomes (the thymo:proteasome) in T cell selection and self:tolerance. In this assignment, the Post Doctoral Fellow will
study T cell activation/anergy induction by bacterial toxins in normal and knockout mouse systems and in human T cells.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PhD in Molecular Genetics or related field of study.
