Student Worker
Department of Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry, and Microbiology
University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine



The Department of Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry, and Microbiology is seeking a self:motivated individual to support the Professor Tom Thompsons lab research including determination of 3D protein structures, bio:physical analysis of TGF and beta;:family and TGF and beta; inhibitors and their clinical use. Position will be housed in the Center for Academic Research Excellence (CARE) Building.

Position Duties:
:Support to include general lab maintenance work, preparing lab stocks, refilling solutions, and other tasks as assigned.

Position Work Hours:
:Flexible hours (5:15 hours per week)

Position Qualification:
:At minimum 16 years of age
:Enrolled at a post:secondary institution or a secondary school
:Appointed as a Co:Op Student, Student Worker, or Work Study Student
:Enrolled at least part:time (one or more credit hours if at a post:secondary institution), with the exception of summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term
:Enrollment shall include:
:The period between two successive terms for which the student is enrolled
:The one off term in each academic year in which the student is not enrolled. Student employee status may be maintained for one additional term following graduation or withdraw from enrollment.

Physical Requirements:
:Frequent communications, verbal and/or written; frequent standing and/or sitting; visually, or otherwise, identify, observe, assess; using math/calculations.
