Work Study Student
A and S Department of Biology
The McMicken College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Biology, and Benoit laboratory is looking to hire two to three students eligible for federal work study to assist in the care of insects. The combined positions will take two to three hours per day, for a total of ten to twelve hours per week. The time will consist of maintaining mosquito colonies, cleaning laboratory space and dishes, and assisting in research projects. No previous laboratory experience is required for this position. After initial training, weekend hours may be available.
Required Student Financial Aid and VISA Status: Eligible students must have received a Work Study Award letter as part of their financial aid packet. Due to Federal regulations, students in the U.S. on F:1 and J:1 Visas are not eligible for Work Study job positions. Eligible students must have a VISA that allows them to receive U.S. Federal Student Work Study.
