The position will work with the flexibility to serve and support the older adult residents. The primary purpose of this position is to provide clerical support to the Community Manager in meeting the needs of the community and in accordance with ERS policies and procedures. With over half a century of expansion and experience improving the lives of older adults, Episcopal Retirement Services has become the leader in quality retirement communities and innovative elder care services.Provides accounting support to the community through processing accounts payable, accounts receivables, managing petty cash and processing bank deposits.Provides database administration including printing rent statements, entering and posting rent payments, managing maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance schedules, including the occupied apartment maintenance update list.Ensures that the office is maintained in a clean and safe manner and that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained to perform required duties.Takes the initiative to make the working environment more effective. Is creative in finding ways to make things flow more smoothly. Consults with the Community Manager on proposed new processesAssists Community Manager with ordering office supplies.Assembles move:in handbooks insuring they are ready and available when needed by the Community Manager.Updates resident storage room list, parking sticker list, entryway directory, resident phone directoryAssists Community Manager with word processing support.As an ERS team member, upholds the philosophy of Person Centered Care while performing duties; whenever possible acts to restore and/or provide Purpose, Choice and Freedom to our residents.A: Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.A: Must have as a minimum, two (2) years of office experience. Ability to type at 60 wpm and use general office equipment including 10:key calculator, is required. Computer skills required and previous experience with Word, Excel and Windows. A: Must be able to work independently with little supervision and able to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.A: Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language and speak the language in an understandable manner.A: Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.A: Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and to accept constructive feedback.A: Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and general public.A: Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel, as well as be willing to handle residents based at whatever behavior or acuity level they are currently functioning.A: Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.A: Must be able to maintain regular attendance.
