Position Summary::/h2:
Coordinate the activities of the bar associates and beverage responsibilities within the restaurant. Manage the bar to ensure guests have an enjoyable drinking experience in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Essential Job Functions::/h2:
:Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
:Manage assigned bar's requisitions and inventory of all beer, wine, spirits, non:alcoholic beverages, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, produce, etc.
:Ensure the bar staff stock, prepare, cure and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
:Create new drink recipes to keep cocktail list fresh and new
:Train staff on mixers and garnishes, and prepare drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practice prudent portion control
:Monitor guests at the bar for proper identification
:Adhere to all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests; ensure all laws are being followed
:Perform tasks related to cash handling (e.g., making change, verifying validity of charges, recording charges, and ensuring vouchers are properly executed) in order to balance all monies
:Lock up and store all beverage products, food and other equipment items; perform deposits, cash drops and secure funds with the bank
:Assign general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keep work areas clean and organized
:Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area
:Attend scheduled associate meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
:Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationMinimum Position Qualifications: :/H2:
:1 year bartending experience
:Prior experience supervising a restaurant bar operation
:21 years of age or older
:Strong knowledge of state and federal liquor laws
:Strong leadership, customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster cooperation and work in a collaborative team environment
:Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with team and guests
:Excellent basic math skills
:Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop and lift objects up to 25 pounds
:Ability to work in a standing and walking position for an entire shiftDesired Previous Job Experience::/H2:
