**Job Summary**
The Director, Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the standardization and optimization of acute care pharmacy practices and services across the Mercy Health System\\. The goal of the Director of Pharmacy Operations is to promote operational effectiveness and efficiency\\. In addition, the Director of Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the management and oversight of pharmacy automation and software to support safe and effective medication processes\\.
Provide oversight and guidance of acute care pharmacy services across Mercy Health\\.
Assess and standardize medication dispensing practices and pharmacy workflows\\.
Promote the pharmacy practice model, best practices, and standard clinical pharmacy processes across the enterprise\\.
Support measures and initiatives to increase patient safety around medication management\\.
Engage and promote cost\\-containment efforts towards both medication utilization and best use of pharmacy resources\\.
Provide leadershp in assuring compliance in pharmacy practices with state and regulatory agencies\\.
Provide strategic planning, management, and oversight towards pharmacy automation and software \\(i\\.e Pyxis, Alaris, Safety Advisor\\)
Contribute to and provide guidance towards medication practices within the EHR during implementations, enhancemts, and ongoing maintenance\\.
Collaborate with pharmacy leadership, IT, and supply chain across Mercy Health to support safe, standard, and effective medication usage and practices\\.
**Job Summary**
Full\\-time, 40 hours per week, days, 8:00 a\\.m\\. to 5:30 p\\.m\\.
**Qualifications \\- Minimum**
Required Minimum Education: Graduate Degree \\(e\\.g\\., Masters, MBA\\); Specialty/Major: BS, Pharm or Pharm D
Preferred Education: Graduate Degree \\(e\\.g\\., Masters, MBA\\) Specialty/Major: MBA Preferred
Licensure/Certification: Required: RPh
Minimum Years and Type of Experience: 5 years of experience in pharmacy management in hospital pharmacy, experience with automation and IT interfaces; indepth knowledge of day to day operations in acute hospital pharmacy settings\\.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Knowledge of pharmacy billing, staffing, reimbursement strategies, regulatory requirements\\.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Business knowledge of hospital pharmacy, billing and reimbursement; EMR and automation build and interface issues
