GENERAL FUNCTION: The Director, Taft-Hartley Services is responsible for the operating effectiveness of the line of business and ensuring the successful implementation of FTIS initiatives. The Director has a strong focus on client delivery, service,andpersonnel management. In addition the Director works to implement improvements and changes as needed in order to ensure that growth and business objectives are met. The Director will ensure the adoption of a consistent sales process andsalesmethodology consistent with Consultative Selling best practices. In addition the Director will utilize internal and external networks in order to be the subject matter expert on industry and competitor trends. The Director also participates intheplanning, development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic objectives, short and long term performance goals, planning, budgeting, staffing models, etc, as well as managing and overseeing initiatives and projects with significant impactacrossthe Taft-Hartley marketplac
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensuresthatactions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
*Responsible for increasing the efficiency and productivity of our direct Taft-Hartley sales force demonstrated by an increase in overall sales, diversity of services sold; win rate, and average size opportunity.
*Oversees and manages a team within the FTIS Taft-Hartley Services direct sales force which has exclusive responsibility for generating new clients.
. Develops, implements and maintains client engagement model suitable per client tiering
. Oversees and manages the implementation of initiatives/projects with significant impact across Taft-Hartley Services.
. Oversees and resolves escalated client delivery as it relates to RFPs, client service, compliance systems and process, on-boarding, marketing and communications.
. Oversees and resolves escalated client issues relating to product, system and process activities.
. Partners closely with the managing director of FTIS, Director FTIS Sales, Retirement Services product manager, and ITC product manager to successfully implement business strategies and identify, prioritize, and promote process improvementandimplementation.
. Develops and fosters collaborative relationships with peers, business partners, team members, etc. to continuously improve business line communications, team relationships, team effectiveness, etc. to ensure we are delivering a greatcustomerexperience, both internally and externally.
. Oversees and/or manages vendor relationships through collaboration with sales and product management.
. Oversees Taft-Hartley Service compliance reviews, risk management and audits as well as implementation of regulatory changes and updates.
. Responsible for working with Legal Department to manage legal issues affecting Taft-Hartley Service.
. Oversees client survey programs.
. In partnership with Managing Director FTIS, manages the pricing process for Taft-Hartley Service including the design.
. Collaborates with Managing Director, FTIS, Director, FTIS Sales, IT&C, & Retirement Services Product Manager to develop products that respond to the rapidly evolving market conditions and client needs.
. Partners with Finance in the planning and managing of budgets
. Collaborates with the Director Regional Institutional Portfolio Management to meet strategic and growth objectives.
. Collaborates with Managing Director FTIS and the Director, FTIS Sales to ensure pricing, profitability and services sold are within acceptable standards.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing employees with timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee careergrowth;developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning, recognize and reward employees for accomplishments. Utilize the Performance Management system for goal setting, performance progress tracking,andperformance reviews.
. Minimum 10 years of experience in the Institutional Services business.
. Broad and deep knowledge of all disciplines of Institutional Services including the competitive landscape.
. Five plus years of sales, relationship management, product development, and /or product management experience preferred.
. College degree required, advanced degree preferred.
. High level of knowledge of investment management, global custody and financial markets as well as the Taft-Hartley market.
. Strong understanding of and ability to pull together key members from multiple disciplines to achieve goals, objectives, projects, initiatives, etc.
. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, team oriented, problem solving, and communication skills.
. Resourcefulness in finding creative solutions.
. Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.
. Extended viewing of CRT screen.
