The College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for the position of Executive Staff Assistantin TheSchool of Planning.
This position is 100 FTE, scheduled for 40hours per week (benefits eligible.)
This position will provide Academic, Program and Administrative Support to the faculty and students in The School of Planning. The position requires strong computer skills (especially using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook); excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fast:paced environment; the ability to multi:task and handle work distractions; and the ability to be successful as part of a team. The person in this position will need to learn new tasks quickly, manage their time efficiently, respect issues of confidentiality, and pay attention to details.
Primary Responsibilities:
:Welcome visitors; manage the office; serve as the primary contact for the School
:Respond to program related inquiries (written, in:person, by telephone, by email) from faculty, students, staff, and the public
:Provide administrative support to the school director and academic coordinators
:Schedule rooms, meetings, appointments, prepare agendas, and other documents for distribution at meetings and events, and take minutes
:Collect updated faculty curriculum vitae and syllabi
:Coordinate various special events, programs, and visitors
:Organize and order schedule of classes in Catalyst by coordinating with academic coordinators
:Organize class evaluations
:Initiate technology orders for phone and data connections
:Maintain social media accounts, website and update directory
:Assist with hiring and directingof student workers and adjuncts
:Revise office processes as needed
:Perform related duties based on departmental need
:Serve as liason betown the school and college administrative offices regarding issues surrounding faculty affairs, undergraduate affairs, business affairs, and research
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree with one (1) year of experience; :OR: Associate degree with three (3) years of experience. Experience must be in high:level administrative support.
Interested candidates should also be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
