The Account Specialist analyzes and consults with Brokers and Clients on their vision benefits programs. The Account Specialist engages employers, brokers, and consultants in a territory and manages vision benefits portfolios with small and mid:market accounts.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:Retains significant percentage of assigned client base.
:Provides outstanding service to clients and their Brokers/Consultants.
:Serves as a subject matter expert for vision products in Insurance industry.
:Provides on:time/accurate renewal proposals to clients/brokers.
:Quickly respond to inquiries and issues.
:Interacts daily by phone with external constituents.
:Develops strong relationships with internal and external constituents.
:Maintains/Obtains proper licensing, as needed.
:Collaborates with clients/brokers to provide optimal vision benefit products.
:Finalizes and implements as negotiated plan designs and renewals.
:High School diploma or equivalent or 2+ years of experience in a service oriented profession
:Accident and Health Insurance License or ability to obtain license within 60 (sixty) days of hire
:Superior professional communication skills : verbal and written
:Strong phone presence
:Strong organizational and follow through skills
:Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
:Experience and knowledge of vision benefits and/or insurance industry
:Sales/Account Management experience
:Experience using SalesForce
