Alcohol, Tobacco and Drug Program Coordinator

The Division of Student Affairs is seeking anAlcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Program Coordinator for the Student Wellness Center.
:Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive alcohol and other drug prevention efforts; including alcohol, marijuana, tobacco, prescription drugs and other illicit drugs.
:Conduct the Biennial Review of UC Alcohol and Other Drug programs and policies.
:Conduct ATOD seminars/workshops, and health promotion activities.
:Conduct assessment activities to acquire relevant data about alcohol consumption; attitudes and perceptions about alcohol use; and the influence of environmental factors that contribute to high:risk alcohol use among students.
:Provide support to other university departments in developing University and/or departmental alcohol and drug policies, procedures, and programs.
:Utilize social norms data to challenge the beliefs and expectations of campus/community constituents surrounding alcohol use and abuse.
:Serve on University and Student Affairs Division committees that are responsible for shaping policies and programs that address the needs of students, particularly those regarding ATOD and related issues.
:Coordinate facilitation of the alcohol and drug sanction classes for students who violate the alcohol and drug policy on campus.
:Write and coordinate grant funding around ATOD issues.
:Demonstrate cultural competence and inclusiveness in working with populations of diverse cultures and identities in addressing ATOD issues.
:Work to eliminate or modify environmental factors that contribute to the ATOD issues on campus and in the surrounding community.
:Develop and implement policies to address ATOD issues on campus.
:Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree with one (1) year of related experience; OR, an Associate degree with three (3) years of related experience; OR, Five (5) years of related experience. Experience must be in program coordination in health related or wellness area.
:Masters degreein health education or related field.
:Two years of experience in alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention.
Due to the recent change in the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
