Join an organization voted a top place to work in Cincinnati for the past seven years We are currently seeking a Recertification Clerk to support multiple ERS Affordable Living communities. The primary purpose of this position is to answer and direct telephone calls, greet guests and to perform clerical duties in accordance with established procedures and as directed by the Community Manager, including initiating the recertification process as required by HUD. Our Cincinnati region affordable living communities offer a wonderful place for older adults to live and flourish in a friendly neighborhood community. They provide income:qualified Cincinnati seniors with comfortable, affordable residential apartments. The community offers amenities and services not commonly found in communities serving residents with limited incomes.Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, welcome and positive emphasis. Ensures guests/visitors abide by existing rules.Answers telephone; determines nature of call and directs caller to appropriate individual or department. Receives inquiries from staff, residents and guests and releases information in accordance with established policies and procedures.Takes an active role as part of the facility team, helping with all administrative tasks when necessary. These may include, but are not limited to, filing, copying, mailings, composing and typing confidential/medical material, formatting/ revising existing documents using the computer, compiling and maintaining the monthly calendar and physician/activity sign up sheets, and assisting in the development, administration and coordination of department policies and procedures.Ensures all recertification papers are signed and sent out as mandated by HUD, LIHTC and HOME. Verifies receipt of needed information prior to each residentA?s recertification date; and assists residents with the recertification process as pletes the recertification and all required paperwork on time for each resident.As an ERS team member, upholds the philosophy of Person Centered Care while performing duties; whenever possible acts to restore and/or provide Purpose, Choice and Freedom to our residents. A: Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.A: Prior customer service or clerical experience preferredA: COS and or SCHM helpfulA: Must possess excellent grammar and communication skills.A: Must have knowledge of word processing. A: Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language.A: Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the essential functions of the position can be fully met.A: Must be able to relate to and work with the disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility.A: Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel, as well as be willing to communicate with residents based at whatever behavior or acuity level they are currently functioning.A: Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.A: Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.A: Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.A: Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.A: Must be able to maintain regular attendance.
