The Opportunity: Our Procurement Organization is seeking a motivated Strategic Sourcing Representative who has a passion for procurement, loves new opportunities, and is looking to further develop their strategic sourcing mindset. This individual will join a collaborative, team oriented department that continues to grow year:over:year in addressable spend, savings, and stakeholder engagement. As a member of the Strategic Sourcing Team, Strategic Sourcing Representatives receive exposure to several business units across the company as well as various levels of management and leadership. In partnership with the business, they are challenged with determining the best approach to sourcing a wide array of products and services across the organization.Manages routine to moderately complex sourcing projects while supporting more experienced positions and / or management on strategic sourcing projects of greater complexity. Learns strategic sourcing methodologies on assigned areas of responsibility and in developing new opportunities.Develops RFx (Request for Information, Request for Proposal or Request for Quote) in partnership with business units based on their current and future requirements.Issues and manages the RFx process adhering to project timelines and expectations. Conducts due diligence disclosure. Ensures proper documentation, agreement signatories, etc.Evaluates, analyzes, and simplifies supplier proposals to support the businessA?s decision making process.Negotiates business terms of supplier agreements including cost, quality, reliability, delivery, etc. that meet or exceed the requirements of the business unit(s). Proactively manages agreements up for renewal and identifies opportunities to further reduce price on existing supplier relationships.Collaborates with Contracts staff to address contractual issues and concerns.Ensures trends in the business environment are effectively monitored. Researches new trends or advances in the market to assist business units in finding solutions and making appropriate buying decisions. Remains current on changing business needs and potential industry issues.Performs other duties as assigned. BachelorA?s Degree in Business or a related discipline1 : 4 years of experience (including co:ops, internships, etc.), preferably in sourcing / procurement, project management (will also accept applicants from other related fields / disciplines based on fit) Desired Candidate Characteristics:Able to communicate in a professional, timely, well:spoken fortable working with and speaking to Senior Leaders.Proactively minded with effective multi:tasking, project management, and organizational skills.Ability to influence, collaborate, and clearly present opportunities to others.Excels at gathering and understanding business requirements through dialog, listening, and asking questions.Consistently demonstrates a drive and willingness to learn.
