A nursing research study led by Carolyn Smith, PhD, RN from the University of Cincinnati : College of Nursing is seeking a student who lives in or near Akron, OH to join their team. The study is testing a technology:based health promotion intervention targeting at:risk teens. The student would serve in the role of RECRUITER and visit both the Summit County and Medina County domestic violence shelters several times each week to recruit and help retain teen participants for the study.
Job responsibilities of the RECRUITER include:
:Recruiting study participants
:Obtaining informed consent from teens and their parent
:Conducting retention activities
:Coordinating data collection appointments
:Participating in weekly research team meetings
Students would need to commit to working up to 10 hours per week and have reliable transportation to get to shelter sites. This position pays 9.00 per hour, begins in Fall 2017 and ends in Spring 2019. Undergraduate students are encouraged .
