Faculty Practice Plan
UNIVERSITY of CINCINNATI, College of Medicine
Under general supervision from a designated administrator, answer the 475:UCMD phone line, coordinate urgent appointments and MD:to:MD consultation calls; compile data for leadership including trends and patterns; continually improve UCMD process; support faculty practice in project:based work.
Coordinate and maintain the UCMD resources, processes, phone log, and training materials.
Maintain standard processes for the UCMD phone line; develop and provide training to new associates.
Oversee achievement of scheduling standards for appointment lag days and customer service.
Track urgent appointments through to completion, including phone call to referring physician's office. Escalate appointments to operational leadership, as needed, to accommodate urgency.
Maintain operational effectiveness of the UCMD phone line and process, including system maintenance and troubleshooting.
Manage effective physician:to:physician consultation calls, leveraging the Amion system for UCMD physician on:call. Escalate through physician leadership to meet customer service expectations.
Provide real:time feedback to Amion scheduling personnel to make required updates to the on:call schedule.
Compile data related to the UCMD phone line volume and performance, trending over time and identifying patterns.
Perform project:based work for the faculty practice plan to support College of Medicine and UC Physicians strategic goals.
Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Bachelor degree with one (1) year of experience; :OR: Associate degree with three (3) years ofexperience; :OR: five (5) years of experience. Degree must be in a related field.
This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
