The College of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology:Head and Neck Surgery, is looking for an Instructor of Clinical:GEO. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.
Job Summary/Duties: This one:year fellowship will include clinical responsibilities, including overseeing care of head and neck surgery patients at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The Clinical Instructor serves an integral role as leader of the oncology team. Responsibilities include presence in operating room in the majority of head and neck oncology cases, oversee senior residents and active participation as primary surgeon on complicated oncologic cases. Further responsibilities include seeing patients in the head and neck oncology clinic in the Barrett Cancer Center and supervising residents on the head and neck surgery rotation.
The Clinical Instructor is also responsible for organizing the head and neck tumor board. This is a multidisciplinary conference that supports interaction with radiation therapists, medical oncologists, pathologists and radiologists. The Clinical Instructor is encouraged to devote a significant period of time to basic and clinical research.
Minimum Qualifications:M.D., O.D., or foreign equivalent degree.Must have completed an ENT residency and have a valid Ohio medical license prior to start.
