A postdoctoral position is currently available in the laboratory of Dr. Matthew Robson at the University of Cincinnati (UC) James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy.
Candidates should have an interest in the areas of neuropharmacology, neurotrauma and psychiatric disorders. The successful candidate will perform high:quality, hypothesis:driven research focused upon the molecular mechanisms by which trauma and neuroinflammation affect behavior relevant to neuropsychiatric disorders. Candidate will utilize various molecular, cellular and transgenic approaches to complete research projects. Duties will consist of, but are not limited to, designing, performing and analyzing studies, and assisting with grant applications.
Position will be available for an initial one:year appointment and may be extended based upon performance. Successful candidate will conduct research at the UC Academic Heath Center, enjoy a competitive salary and benefit package and live in an affordable, vibrant multicultural city. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in neuroscience, pharmacology or a related biomedical field prior to the start date. Experience with the use of animal models is a requirement and previous neuropharmacology experience is preferred.
