Central Operations is the home of over 2,300 employees who handle Fifth Third Bank's back-office functions and Contact Center services for nearly six million customers. Our goal is to operate as an efficient, behind-the-scenes machine to allow Fifth Third Bank transactions to be seamlessly executed for our affiliates and customers.
SCHEULE: Third Shift; Sunday 10PM-6AM Monday # Thursday 11PM # 7AM
GENERAL FUNCTION: Maintains communications with senior level Item Processing Operations Management through verbal and written reports. Provides expert support for all functions of Transaction Manager and Image processing systems. Support variesfromreviewing transactions for capture reconciliation, expert balancing, adjustment approval, adjustment input, all intermediate functions and general system troubleshooting.
.Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures thatactions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
.Meets and maintains production and quality standards as set by work type and process.
.Researches and resolves all out-of-balance transactions and uses Transaction Manager HGAA and IPCS to insert advice of corrections as needed.
.Performs research using ACE, electronic or paper tape receipts, Transaction Manager naming system for retrieving check items.
.Escalates any issues to management that cannot be resolved.
.Prints and reports all advice notices that were created during balancing.
.Coordinates advice distribution with Mail Operations.
.Performs ten-key input for MICR line completion maintaining consistent keying speed with accuracy.
.Performs End of Day encoding of Reprocessed Cash letters via the 7766 encoding machine.
.Maintains Transaction Manager password.
.Meets and maintains production and quality standards as set by work type and process.
.Escalates any issues to management that cannot be resolved.
.Other duties as assigned.
Minimum knowledge and skills required:
.High School Diploma or Equivalent
.Two (2) years of production-environment and advanced balancing experience required.
.Extensive knowledge of instrument negotiability to minimize negative customer impact and documents to ensure accuracy of document processing.
.Extensive knowledge of internal documents to ensure accuracy of document processing.
.Intermediate math and accounting skills are preferred.
.Capable of multi-tasking.
.Attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
.Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.
.Extended viewing of CRT screen.
.Must be able to lift 30lb check trays
.Some operational areas require tolerance to noise produced by processing machinery.
.Flexible working hours.
