The College of Medicine, Department of Operations and Finance is recruiting for a full:time (100 FTE)HR Consultant. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all our activities.
Job Summary:Duties and responsibilities will include; but are not limited to the following:
:
Consult with College of Medicine departments regarding policies and procedures as they relate to human resources and staff/faculty recruitment
:
Manage administrative activities as they relate to recruitment, hiring, and human resources; work with, and provide support for the Talent Acquisition team
:
Manage and coordinate the visa application process for foreign nationals. Act as a liaison between the department and the International Office with regards to all foreign work authorization activities
:
Design and generate reports related to recruitment, retention, equity, etc.
:
Serve as information resource to faculty and staff in the College of Medicine
:
Manage the employee communications process. Ensure effective communication of HR policies, procedures and processes to department faculty and staff
:
Coach managers on employee relations and performance management issues
:
Administer and oversee payroll processes for staff and faculty members
:
May facilitate employee evaluation process and review employee retention programs and policies
:
Review benefits information with staff and faculty members
:
Onboard faculty members for hiring process
:
Partner with assigned departments to understand business processes, business needs and implications for HR processes
:
Perform related duties based on departmental need
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with three (3) years of experience required. Degree and experience MUST be in Human Resources or related field.
