Job Description Electrical Engineer – Controls Engineer to design electrical and control systems, including power distribution, starters, VSDs, PLCs and control equipment and instrumentation for mining and industrial processes. Responsibilities include: · Analyzation of field electrical and control problems and ability to make recommendations. · Estimate and evaluate electrical and control costs and make adjustments. · Specify and review all electrical and control testing, commissioning and startup procedures. · Manage and supervise installation of electrical and control equipment and instrumentation. · 75% Travel, 2 days up to 4 weeks for Projects. Qualifications · Bachelors or Masters of Science's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering field. · 10 years of experience in the electrical and control field (construction, maintenance, supervision, project & engineering phases, upgrades). · Experience with power substations and distribution-related equipment (control and protection), motor starters (LV and MV), VSD, PLCs and other related equipment is required. · Knowledge of electrical and control code standards and regulations is required (NEC, NFPA 70E, CSA Z462, IEEE). · Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
