A new Postdoctoral Fellow position is available immediately at the University of Cincinnati Winkle College of Pharmacy, Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The successful candidate will focus the research efforts on 1) investigating molecular mechanisms underlying the interactions between air pollution particles and UV radiation in human skin and 2) the development of novel compound targeting the prevention of UV:induced melanoma, using presence of DNA damage as a major endpoint. The position is available immediately for a one:year initial appointment, with possibility of extension based on performance evaluation. The successful candidate will enjoy a stimulating research environment at the UC Academic Health Center, a competitive salary and benefit package, in addition to an affordable Midwest cost of living in the multicultural city of Cincinnati, OH.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. degree in biological sciences or related field. Ideal candidate should be highly motivated and have a solid background in cutaneous biology. Preference will be given to candidates with strong publication record and prior experience in human skin research, tissue culture techniques and animal models of skin diseases.
