UNIVERSITY of CINCINNATI
TheDepartment of Philosophy at the University of Cincinnati is seeking apostdoctoral fellow to contribute to a new center focused on the publicengagement of science. We invite applications from recent Ph.D.s with a strongbackground in philosophy of science and significant interest in thepublicengagement of philosophy and/or science.
Thisis a two:year appointment beginning August 15, 2018,with a salary of 54,000per year. Responsibilitiesinclude teaching one course per semester,including one graduate seminar on atopic of the Fellow's choosing; helping to develop and coordinate publicengagementactivities;and pursuing independent research with the support offaculty mentor(s) in the department.
The Department of Philosophy at the University of Cincinnati has particular research strength in philosophy of science, especially philosophy of the life sciences, including biology, cognitive science, neuroscience, and moral psychology. We have cultivated strong relationships with UC departments in cognate fields and are engaged in a range of public:facing initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must hold a PhD in Philosophy or a closely related field and have a strong interest in philosophy of the life sciences.
