Job Designation The Senior Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs assigned manufacturing related equipment throughout the facility in accordance with standard procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs complex skilled work across multiple-functions and operations of the preventive maintenance system. Job Core Responsibilities Performs maintenance, service and repairs of a complex nature on assigned equipment or systems Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains existing mechanical and electrical systems and associated equipment used in manufacturing environment. Perform calibration on pressure gauges, ovens, temperature controls, and other equipment Perform repairs on electronic controls such as PLC's and machine tools. Install and repair a variety of hydraulic controls circuits and pumps Follows detailed operational instructions, procedures and blueprints while conducting maintenance activities Oversees the preventive maintenance system and provides required reports Determines preventative maintenance requirements for new equipment and trains equipment operators to perform routine maintenance Maintains a safe and effective work area/environment; using appropriate personal protective and safety equipment Other responsibilities as assigned Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary Job Specifications Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations. Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field Requirements: 10+ years in manufacturing maintenance preferred; strong experience in electrical highly preferred Must be able to conduct operational tests and repair equipment by disassembling required components and repairing and/or replacing faulty parts, then reassembling and adjusting. Strong mechanical ability Skilled problem solving and exercises superior judgment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to cooperate and collaborate with co-workers Ability to work off ladders and platforms Ability to work with hand and power tools Ability to follow written and verbal instructions This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
