Local manufacturer has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Maintenance Tech in our Maintenance Department. We pride ourselves in being an unusually good place to work and have a career. The mission of a Senior Maintenance Tech is to properly maintain all the manufacturing equipment and facilities in support of the production teams. This hands on role includes maintaining and servicing high speed punch presses, hydraulic presses, machine tools, and automated assembly equipment. In addition there will be opportunities to be part of designing, building, and commissioning specialized automation machines. An additional mission is to provide innovative ideas to generate new revenue from future products and customers.

Expected Outcomes

1 – Build strong relationships based on trust, communication, and collaborative problem solving within the maintenance department and with all key personnel in our production department - Complete in first 6 months
2 – Demonstrate skill in OSHA regulations regarding Lock Out / Tag Out and machine guarding – Complete in three months
3 – Demonstrate skill in troubleshooting and programming PLCs – Complete in three months
4– Demonstrate effective Project Management results – first six months
5 – Demonstrate skills at Maintaining and troubleshooting Production equipment - Complete in first six months
6 – Demonstrate innovative ideas for problem solving, continuous improvement, and cost savings – Complete in first year

Required Competencies

✔ Competent in basic computer skills – Excel, Word, email, etc.
✔ Competent in working with PLC programs including Siemens PLCs
✔ Working knowledge in motor controls
✔ Competent in working with single phase and three phase electrical equipment up to 480V
✔ Experienced in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical presses (preferably high speed), hydraulic presses, and pneumatics commonly used manufacturing processes
✔ Experienced in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs
✔ Familiar with OSHA regulations including but not limited to lock out / tag out and machine guarding
✔ Competent in operation of company vehicles and forklifts
✔ Organizational skills including time management, documentation, scheduling, and retention of information
✔ Skilled at facility maintenance
✔ Capable to work on electrical wiring, plumbing, air conditioning, and boilers
✔ Skilled at managing vendor relations and negotiating for goods and services
✔ Skills and experience in machine building and automation a plus
✔ Flexibility / adaptability – Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions. Creativity / Innovation – Generates new and innovative approaches to problems.
✔ Continuous Improvement – seeks to improve processes and outcomes for the operation
