De Los Muertos is looking for a new guitarist.
"De Los Muertos pumps a thousand volts of electricity through the rotting corpse of honky-tonk country, resurrecting it to serve in the undead armies of genuine punk rock."-The Examiner Our sound is extremely unique and is best described by listening to our sound clips or viewing one of our live videos. We have had the opportunity to play with some great regional and national acts and don't see it slowing down (Koffin Kats, Whiskey Daredevils, Nekromantix) What we desire in a guitarist is the ability to blend different musical styles into our unique sound. Must have reliable transportation and the equipment necessary to perform live at large and small venues. Must be able to practice 1-2 times per week (practice space in Camp Washington, near downtown) and be available for performing at least 2 times per month. We also travel regionally and will occasionally play in Nashville, Louisville, Lexington, Indianapolis, etc. To contact us either respond to this ad or call 513-884-5871. www.myspace.com/delosmuertos • Location: Cincinnati

Original hard rock band seeks rhythm guitarist w/ backing vocal abilitiesposted: November 21, 2009, 07:00 AM

3-piece original band seeks a rhythm guitarist with BG vocal abilities (vocals a must), or, potentially, a bassist with BG vocal abilities (allowing the current bassist to switch to rhythm guitar). Influences include Alice in Chains, Corrosion of Conformity, Monster Magnet, Sound Garden, etc., but with slightly faster tempos, and a taste of pop and straight ahead modern hard rock.
12+ songs are currently being finalized. While some of the songs could be augmented by additional/new guitar parts, a large portion of the role initially would be playing existing parts. As new songs are written, the rhythm guitarist would then be responsible for writing their own parts during the songwriting process. Vocally, applicants should be capable of accurate and aurally pleasing harmonies, and, potentially duet/co-lead parts. The line-up currently includes Lead Vocalist/Guitarist, Bassist and Drummer. All three members are very experienced and capable players, and expect the same of any applicant. The goal is to complete the songwriting process and begin recording a full-length limited release CD in the next few weeks, with expected completion in early Spring of ’10. Depending on practice schedule and band development, the debut performance may precede or coincide with the CD release. This is an additional project for the members, but we hesitate to call it a “side-project”. The band will perform regularly both locally and regionally. However, because of other project commitments, a heavy practice schedule is not possible. As a result, band members will need to do their ‘homework’ with the scratch demos recorded during previous practices and as part of the songwriting process, and come to practice prepared and ready to play. Practice schedule is ideally once a week, but may vary depending on members’ availability. Local performances are expected to be every 4-6 weeks, while regional performances will be booked as often as available. Best fit would be in the mid-twenties to mid-thirties. However, a good fit is a good fit regardless of age (no one under 21 please). Male and female applicants are both welcome. If all of this sounds good, please contact us. Rough demos and scratch tracks are available upon request to individuals showing true interest in the project. Please contact cincimusician@gmail.com • Location: Cincinnati

Working cover band looking for versatile lead guitarist. Currently gigging 2~3 times per month at well-known venues. Also do outdoor events in the Summer.
We cover anything from Van Halen to Papa Roach. We try to be flexible enough to play to an older crowd one night and a younger one the next. Our ages range from 36~42. We all have families and responsibilities, so we’re looking for someone with similar goals: have a good time and entertain people. We practice (only when working on new material) in the Northern Kentucky area. We come prepared and work only on the timing and arrangement. Check out our website if interested and drop us a line. www.onenitestand-band.com • Location: Cinciniati/NKy
